Thank you to our school super supporters.

Local school children have been busy hopping, dressing in yellow and even breaking school rules in a range of fantastic fundraising activities to support the Hospice.

Little ones at Daisy Chain nursery in Heworth have raised an amazing £1,056 by taking part in our Easter Hop for the Hospice campaign. The tots hopped every day for a week to raise this fantastic amount and looked very cute doing it! Meanwhile, the tots at Adventures Nursery took part in a Go Yellow day.

Bishopthorpe Infant School took our special money spinner and raised just under £100, while children at Archbishop of York Junior School organised their own ‘it’s cool to break a rule’ day with a forfeit of 50p per school rule broken.

Rule breaking included wearing non-uniform, eating puddings before main courses at lunch, coloured hair, nail varnish and wearing make-up. Our mascot, Lenny Bear, paid a special visit to the school to meet the rule breakers and collect a cheque for £446.

Other schools who have supported us this year include: Carr Infant School, Escrick Primary, Rainbow Play Group, Skelton Primary, Staynor Hall in Selby and Yearsley Grove.

Thank you to all the children for their amazing support.
