Volunteering with us.
We couldn’t carry out the important work we do without a committed and talented team of volunteers – people of all ages, and from all walks of life who help us care, support and raise funds.
Volunteers are a much valued part of our Hospice team, providing support across a wide variety of departments. Some help support patients and families, including bereavement support, some help in administrative roles while others keep the Hospice gardens looking wonderful!
There are so many reasons why you might love volunteering at St Leonard’s. You can:
- Have the feeling you have made a difference
- Support your mental health and wellbeing
- Meet new people
- Gain new skills and experiences
- Use your skills for a good cause
- Boost your CV
- Flexible hours

Meet our team
Our dedicated volunteer services team will be your first port of call as a volunteer, as they support you through the application and induction process. Meet Lara, Volunteer Services Manager, and Jenny and Claire, our Volunteer Services Administrators.
“We have a range of roles to suit everybody, from patient-facing to admin-based, or in the community. Whether you’re doing your Duke of Edinburgh, need to volunteer as part of your university course or just want to do something worthwhile with your time – there’s a role for you!” Lara.
