Festive fundraising

It’s easy and fun, just wear a festive jumper to work, school, or even at home, and make a donation to St Leonard’s Hospice. You could even nominate your resident ‘Scrooge’ and dare them to wear a festive knit for the day, raising sponsorship for the Hospice in the process!

Join us on Friday 13 December 2024 for the official Hospice festive jumper day, or choose a date that works for you.

Invite your neighbours or neighbouring offices for coffee and cake, and make donations to St Leonard’s Hospice. It’s a great way to connect with the community and raise funds in a relaxed setting.

Put your baking skills to the test with a festive bake-off. Whether it’s mince pies, Christmas cake, or gingerbread houses, you can add a competitive twist and ask for donations to raise funds.

Get everyone to donate festive treats or goodies to create a fabulous hamper. Sell raffle tickets to colleagues, friends, or neighbours, and the lucky winner gets the hamper.

Why not host a festive quiz? Whether general knowledge, music or a festive-theme, team quizzes are always popular. You can host it online or in person, just be sure to charge an entry fee and offer prizes for the winning team.

Warm up your vocal chords and arrange a street or office carol singing session or a community concert. You could even perform outside your local shops or at a local event, spreading festive cheer while raising money for St Leonard’s Hospice.

Bring out your competitive spirit with a gift-wrapping race! Charge an entry fee and see who can wrap the fastest or the most creatively. You could wrap gifts, desks, or even your car, let your imagination run wild.

Organise fun competitions such as tree decorating, gingerbread house challenges, or best-dressed living room contests. These activities are perfect for schools, businesses, or even family or neighbour gatherings, and they offer a festive way to raise funds.

Get crafty this winter! Host a workshop where you and others can create cards, decorations, or handmade gifts, and then sell them to raise money for St Leonard’s Hospice. It’s a lovely way to get creative while giving back.

Every penny counts! We can send you a cardboard change box to collect your spare change. It’s a simple way to raise money for the Hospice, just fill it up and send it back to us when it’s full.
