Remember and celebrate your loved ones.

Whether you want to celebrate an occasion, say thank you or dedicate a ribbon in memory of someone special, you can brighten up our community this summer as part of the 2026 Rainbow of Ribbons.

Together, your ribbons create a wonderful spectacle for all to see in our community, while your donations help more patients, families and carers get the expert care and support they need, when they need it most.

Once you’ve picked your ribbon colour, added your dedication and made your donation, your ribbon will be handwritten by our team and placed on display at your chosen location from Monday 13 July to Monday 17 August.

The six locations this year are:

  • St Leonard’s Hospice
  • Easingwold Market Place
  • Selby Abbey
  • St Leonard’s Hospice shop, Pocklington
  • Rowntree Park, York (new location for 2026)
  • St Michael’s Church, Malton (new location for 2026)
Losing someone you love can feel overwhelming, and everyone grieves in their own way. If you would like some support in navigating your grief, we offer a safe, confidential space where you can talk, share and begin to make sense of your loss. You can find out more by clicking here.
People often find comfort in creating something special to remember their loved one by. It can be a way of ensuring that treasured memories will never be forgotten.
