Biggest ever plant sale raises £5,600

Shoppers flocked into our plant sale at the weekend to enjoy browsing a huge selection of plants, raising an incredible £5,600 to help us provide care to people when they need us most.

The sunny weather, tea, cakes, and wonderful live music by volunteer Ken Stamp on his trombone helped make it an extra special day.

Thank you to all who attended and helped us raise this total, to the brilliant group of volunteers, and to all the growers for helping us make the weekend’s plant sale our biggest ever. As well as individuals who donated seedlings and plants, we are also grateful of the plant donations from to the following:

Johnsons of Whixley, David Smith Garden Centre, Orchards Nurseries, Vertigrow, Langlands, Fields Garden Centre, Skelton Garden Centre, DTAILS, Browns, Askham Bryan College and Millers (who donated the cakes).
