A jolly good Jubilee Walk

On Saturday 18 June hundreds of our fantastic supporters donned red, white and blue and took to the streets of York for our Jubilee Walk – this year’s theme for our popular Midnight Walk.

It was a right royal knees up at York College as people enjoyed entertainment from York Mix, ice creams and an exciting warm up routine from Thomas Clubbercise, before setting off on the 7.5 mile route. Walkers passed iconic York landmarks including the Minster and Clifford’s Tower, and even had the opportunity to walk along the Bar Walls which were opened up specially for the event, before returning for a well-earned brew and bacon buttie.

Everyone made a brilliant effort with their fancy dress and it was amazing to see all the tiaras, crowns and tutus on show! Thank to to everyone who walked and volunteered at the event.
