St Leonard’s Hospice grateful for £1,000 grant from local shoe shop

A York branch of Pavers has donated £1,000 to St Leonard’s Hospice towards the core costs of running the Hospice.

This donation is the second grant the Hospice has received from The Pavers Foundation this year after £2,000 was awarded in the summer to pay for comfort boxes for bereaved children.

A Pavers employee, who wishes to remain anonymous, nominated St Leonard’s Hospice to receive a grant from the Pavers Foundation.

The £1,000 grant, which the Hospice received this week, comes as a welcome gift just before Christmas and will go towards providing their services.

Emma Johnson, Chief Executive at St Leonard’s Hospice, said: “This support helps us to care for local people, and their families, living with life-limiting and terminal illness. We are extremely appreciative to the Pavers employee who nominated us and to The Pavers Foundation for awarding the grant.”
