Funeral collections.

Families often ask for donations to their chosen charity at the funeral, often in lieu of flowers. On behalf of all the patients and families who will benefit, St Leonard’s Hospice is privileged to receive such donations in memory of your loved one.

We know that planning a funeral can be a difficult time, so we are here to help by making the collection of donations on the day both straightforward and discreet. We have wooden collection boxes, should you wish to use one for the service. Your funeral director will be able to help you collate gifts. If you’d prefer to bring the collection into the Hospice, we’ll be here to welcome you.

If you would like to include any information about St Leonard’s Hospice within the order of service, here are a couple of sentences.

If you wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers, our chosen charity is St Leonard’s Hospice. Every year, more and more people need the Hospice’s help when facing their toughest times. Your donation will mean that more families like ours can get the expert care and support they need, when they need it most. Thank you.

Online funeral collections.

For those who can’t be there in person, or who wish to show their support in other ways, you can also set up an online tribute page. It’s quick and easy and allows people to make donations, leave their messages of condolence, light a virtual candle, and share their memories too.

You can include the funeral notice as part of your tribute page, showing practical arrangements for the day of the funeral in advance. You can even create a QR code from the page to add to the printed order of service, enabling family and friends to donate direct to your loved one’s page.
