In 2024, I will be running 2,024 kilometres to raise money for the Hospice so it gets its first Cuddle Bed.
Story
2024km in 2024 - that will be the equivalent of around 5.5km every day for 366 days. This challenge will be accompanied by other events I will be participating in throughout the year; Brass Monkey Half Marathon in January, York 10 mile, hopefully the Great North Run & more! Any donations would be greatly appreciated! I’m doing this challenge to raise money for St Leonard’s Hospice in memory of my cousin’s husband, who sadly passed away last year. In Nick's Memory, we would like to raise £20,000 for a cuddle bed. This is a special single hospital bed that opens to make a double bed. This would have made a huge difference for Nick, Louise and their children., We would love this to be Nick's legacy for the hospice, something that would benefit other families in the future. Our aim is to raise the funds before his birthday on 20th August 2024, so we thank you in advance for your support.
