To everyone who knew David, a lovely caring husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend. The loss of David after such a short illness is so difficult to comprehend.

During David's very short illness he was cared for at home by the wonderful Hospice@Home nurses from St Leonard's Hospice, York. An independent charity that provides palliative care at the end of life. Care that was given freely but not free to provide. A charity that relies heavily on generosity & support. We will remember with great fondness the times David popped into our office. He always greeted us with a cheeky grin, a huge bear hug (and usually a Mr Kiplings apple pie box to hide from Mrs T!) Our deepest sympathy and love to Sharon, Alan, Anna, Robert and to his family and friends. Katrina and Victoria xxxx

David, today on our anniversary, another day without you. Photographs, stories and memories are all that is left now of our forty-two years together. "How lucky I am to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard." Thank you to the wonderful hospice nurses for their kindness and care over those five very short days we had to say goodbye x
