Story
In 2024 after supporting some of my friends on their London Marathon training, I decided to put in my usual yearly entry into the ballot - Afterall, with 840,318 applicants and only 17,000 ballot places available the chances of actually getting in were pretty slim.... Or so I thought! On April 27th 2025 I will be putting on my trainers and joining the crowds in London to participate in my third (and last!) marathon. The training has been tough, and 26.2 miles does not get any easier, but the opportunity to join such a great event and raise some funds for a charity close to my heart makes it all worthwhile. St Leonard’s Hospice provides care and support for terminally ill people, and people with life limiting illnesses. Equally as important, they extend their support to the families of those in their care, helping them to navigate life at some of the most challenging times. My family has been directly impacted by the kindness of St Leonard’s, and for that we will be forever grateful. If you can donate a small amount to this charity in relation to my marathon efforts, I would be very thankful. Every bit of motivation is welcome and I promise to give those 26.2 miles my all.
