The Accumulator Challenge 2027.

What could your team achieve with £30? How much could you raise?

We’re inviting your team of up to six people to take part in The Accumulator Challenge in 2027!

To kick things off, your team will receive a loan of £30. From there, it’s up to you to auction, fundraise, invest, organise, and run your way to generating the biggest profit possible, all in just 30 days.

Think creatively, think innovatively, and most importantly, think fun! You can do whatever you like to raise funds, as long as it’s safe and legal.

Join the challenge between 8am on Saturday 6 February 2027 and 11:59pm on Sunday 7 March 2027.

If these dates are not suitable, you may select your own 30 consecutive days between 31 January 2027 and 14 March 2027. This flexibility allows you to take advantage of key local events, such as York Residents’ Festival (late January) and Mother’s Day.

Why should you get involved?

Not only does this offer a fantastic opportunity to strengthen teamwork, develop entrepreneurial skills and enjoy some friendly rivalry, it also helps raise vital funds for St Leonard’s Hospice. There are also a whole host of other benefits to taking part, too:

  • It’s a simple, low-cost way to make a real impact

  • It fulfils corporate social responsibility commitments

  • It shows your local community that you care

  • It offers networking opportunities, allowing you to connect with like-minded individuals across York and the surrounding area

  • It gives you access to support and information from our friendly Fundraising team

Celebrate your success

The challenge will conclude with a celebratory awards evening at the Delta by Marriott Hotel (date to be confirmed), where we will come together to recognise your achievements.

Awards will include:

  • Team that raises the most profit
  • Community Choice Award (voted for on social media)
  • Outstanding team member (peer-nominated)
  • Innovation Award (the most creative idea)
