Where to talk to us in the community
We’re here for anyone living with a life-limiting illness, along with their families and carers. If you’d like to chat with us out in the community, we’d love to meet you.
You can find us at the following locations:
-
Friday 15 May: Dead Good Festival open afternoon at St Leonard’s Hospice, 1pm to 5pm
Join us for a welcoming open afternoon at the Hospice’s Sunflower Centre to discover what we do, have a tour and enjoy free, relaxing activities. No booking needed, just drop in on the day. It’s for anyone in the community who would like to find out more about the Hospice and how we help our community to live and die well.
- Activities on the day (first come, first served basis)
- Sound bath: a gentle seated listening experience (1.30 to 2pm, and 4 to 4.30pm).
- Creative writing drop-in (1 to 3pm) exploring the realities of grief through words and images, encouraging patience, kindness and self-care.
- Swan Song Project (2.20 to 3.30pm) for anyone facing the end of their life or bereavement, offering the opportunity to write and record an original song. Hear samples of recent songs created to celebrate lives and lasting memories, alongside live music from songwriter Holly Taymar.
- Facilities and access: Blue badge parking on site, and level access throughout with automatic doors. Accessible, gender-neutral toilets. The event is expected to be busy and may be noisy at times. If you would prefer a quieter Hospice visit or tour, please contact: wellbeing@stleonardshospice.org.uk or 01904 708553
