St Leonard’s Quality Account 2024/25 published

We are pleased to share that our Quality Account for 2024/25 has now been published. This annual report highlights the impact of our work, both within the community and in our in-patient unit, and gives us the opportunity to celebrate the dedication of our teams, volunteers, and supporters.

Over the past year we have seen a 15% increase in patients accessing support on the in-patient unit. Of these, 63% came to us for specialist symptom management.

Our community services also continue to grow, ensuring more people can access the care and support they need. These include:

  • Hospice@Home, supporting people to remain at home for end-of-life care

  • Carers Support Service, enabling carers to take a break and sustain their caring role

  • Wellbeing and outreach team, offering emotional and practical support to people and their loved ones

The holistic care we provide is built on a whole-team approach, centred on what matters most to each individual. Alongside helping people to live and die well, we also provide bereavement support for loved ones, recognising the importance of care during grief and loss.

This year’s Quality Account also features patient stories illustrating the difference our services make to the people we support.

Reflecting on this year, Anne-Marie Roberts our Director of Clinical Services said:
“Writing the Quality Account is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the successes of the previous year and to refocus on the challenges, to ensure we can support as many people as possible living with a life limiting illness to access the best possible care and be supported to die well. I’m incredibly proud of our clinical teams and the wider teams across the organisation who enable us to focus on delivering high quality care and support. And, on behalf of the executive team, I would like to say thank you.”
