Living With Grief course.

Grieving the loss of someone you love can feel overwhelming. You don’t have to face it alone. This free course offers gentle support to help you understand and manage your grief.

About the course:

Living with Grief is a 5-week education and peer-support course aimed at providing you with the tools to understand and normalise your grief. It’s open to anyone who has been bereaved in the past year. You do not need to have had any previous
connection with St Leonard’s.

Through guided sessions and shared experience, participants will:

  • Gain insights into the grieving process
  • Learn ways to cope with loss
  • Connect with others who are experiencing similar journeys
  • Build a supportive community.

Each session will include expert-led discussions, practical advice, and opportunities for you to share and reflect in a safe, understanding environment within the group.

When are the next courses:
  • Wednesdays 4,11 18, 25 February and 4 March from 10 to 11.30am at St Leonard’s Hospice
  • Thursdays 9, 16, 23, 30 April and 7 May from 10 to 11.30am at St Edward The Confessor (Community Hall), York
  • Spaces are limited to ensure a supportive and comfortable environment. We encourage you to attend all five sessions.
