Hospice biographers.

For many patients, leaving a lasting legacy for loved ones is a valuable and significant experience. We work with the Hospice Biographers national charity to offer patients the opportunity to make an audio recording for family and friends to listen to, and a range of St Leonard’s staff have undertaken specialist training to facilitate this.

Each recording is different, personal and focused on what the patient wants. Some may record a full biography, or recount a few special moments. Others might prefer to be interviewed by their biographer, or to record direct messages for their loved ones. Though many patients start by claiming they have nothing interesting to say, we know there’s no such thing as an ordinary life, or an ordinary person – it’s our privilege to help tell those stories.
