I have such a strong memory of the conversations I had with Roger about music and lives lived, but especially about books we enjoyed, and the stories we read and talked over together. Especially Saramago's wonderful "Tale of the Unknown Island", so funny and mysterious, which we both loved. Fiona

Dear Roger, As an Arsenal fan it never worried me a jot that you were a lifelong Spurs fan. It was just one of the many things about you that I appreciated as a long-standing friend. I'll miss you and never forget you. May you find vinyl heaven in the afterlife. Mark x

Roger thanks for your contributions to the success of Red Rhino. I like to believe our enthusiasm and energy made a difference to music of the 80's. You sustained your passion for recorded music throughout your life. Rest in peace. Love Gerri.

Roger illuminated the lives of anybody lucky enough to be connected to him. One of the kindest and funniest people I have ever known. Love to his family, his crew in York and thanks to St Leonard’s for looking after him at the end.

Thinking of you Roger, Katy, and Family. For years, I looked out for a copy of ‘Larks Tongues in Aspic’ by King Crimson for you. It seems appropriate that I have now found one. It was more than you wanted to pay, but worth it to think of you, and to match the price here. Best wishes David Slater
