Today, Thursday, 31st January is P's 43rd birthday. It is the first birthday without him. Piers was my little brother and I loved him dearly. In all our years together we never had a cross word. Even though I moved abroad and didn't see P or my family as much as I would have liked to, we were still close and he loved it when I came back to England to visit. P also leaves behind a lovely little boy named Harrison and a grieving wife and parents. We miss him so much. Piers loved life, his dogs and loved his 'little man' most of all. Piers fought valiantly for many years with 2 brain tumours and we really thought he would beat it. On so many occasions he fought death and won, but sadly it wasn't to be. Piers lost his fight on Friday, 15th June 2018, with his wife Lesley by his side and his parents and Sister close by. I have set up this tribute page as Piers stayed at St Leonard's for a few weeks towards the end of his life. He loved it there and would have stayed longer if he could. Thank you for everything you do and to all your staff and volunteers. You provide invaluable end of life support and we appreciate everything you do to give respite to caregivers and comfort and support to patients in your care. God bless.
