The Little Kiwi Cleaning Company is a tiny domestic cleaning and housekeeping business that started up in 2021. My plan was to create a socially conscious business that would give back to our wonderful community. I decided to build kindness into my business by having a Goodwill Wednesday at least once every month. On a Goodwill Wednesday, I carry out a professional deep clean and the client makes a donation directly to St Leonard's instead of paying me. I love Goodwill Wednesdays! At the end of the day the clients are happy, I'm happy, and St Leonard's has a bit more cash to fund their amazing service. I created this page to make it super simple for my Goodwill clients to donate.
Story
We've been supporters of St Leonard's since emigrating from New Zealand in 2014. Although I haven't had a loved one who was cared for by St Leonard's, my dear friend Yvonne died in Hospice Waikato (N.Z.) in 2015. I saw firsthand that death, which comes to us all, does not need to be frightening, painful or depressing. St Leonard's Hospice, just like Hospice Waikato, surrounds people with loving care in order that they can be blessed with a good death.
